1967 Mopar \"915\" Heads, P/N 2780915, 383/440/440 HP, 2.08/1.60, Closed Chamber:
$850.00

This is set of two bare, cast-ironChrysler cylinder heads, casting number2780915,for the 1967 model year 383 and 440 cubic inch engines. Both these heads are date-coded November 1966.

Thevery desirable \"915\"castings were1967model year only items forcertain 383 and any440cubic-inch engines. It appeared in two configurations, differentiated only by the exhaust valve opening (1.60\" on the standard head, and 1.74\" on the \"high performance\" version).

These heads are of course the\"closed\" chamber design (for high compression) with 2.08 intake and the smaller 1.60 exhaust valve openings. The unmolested exhaust valve openings can very easily been enlarged to create the ultra-rare HP version used in the Magnum and Super Commando engines.

These headsdo nothaveanyporting, polishing, valve seat enlarging, or any other similar kinds of permanentalterations. There are no heli-coils or any evidence of repair. They have been cleaned and pressure checked, new freeze plugs installed but have not been usedsince this work was professionally performed several years ago.

Onehead is a darker color as it got exposed to the air in my garage but otherwiseis undamaged and identical to the lighter colored head.

If you want to investigate the\"915\" head, there are many reputable information sources online forapplication and performance information. If restoration correctness isnot your primary objective, extensive performance comparisons of the 915\'s andvarious other B/RB engine cylinder heads were done by Mopar Muscle magazine andreported in their January 1998 issue (that article is also online)

I am by no means an expert in Mopar cylinder heads. BEFORE YOU BUY, please direct any installationor application questions that you may have to trained automotiveprofessionals/reputable sources as necessary.
