1969 Mustang Fastback Rolling Shell 9\" Good Drag Car or Coupe/FB Conversion 69:
$1500.00

This is a 1969 Mustang fastback and I believe it was originally a Mach1 .
I picked this car up a few years ago and from what I was told at that time is that it was going to be turned into a drag car. Someone stripped the car and then started cutting off some of the metal parts that would not be needed. This is exactly how I got the car.
There was no numbers on the car, but while I was cleaning out some bolts anddebris down inthe cowl area I found a body buck tag and from what I can tell it looks like the tag belongs to the car.
The tagindicates a 1969 Mach1 (63C), Medium Gold color and a 351-4V engine (M). The car does have the larger front sway bar and the correct steering wheel for a Mach1. The body also looks to be originally painted Medium Gold and has the extra plating behind the back seat that was only found on cars with a dual exhaust system. The tag is in no way a legal tag for title purposes, but it does show what I believe to be the original number of the body.
The body shell is fairly solid. It does need floor repair and the panel between the rear window and the trunk lid has some rust through areas (see pictures). The rear frame on the drivers side has some blistering at the rear shackle area. The passengers side rear frame rail looks great. The torque boxes need to be replaced. There is some rust above the drivers side top door hinge. There is some small dents in the roof.
It still has what looks to be the original 9\" rear axle. I do not know the ratio off hand, but I do remember that it was not a traction lock. The front brakes are drum and the steering is standard non-power.
This would be a good body to start with or could be used for a coupe to fastback conversion.
There is nowarranty orguaranteeexpressed or implied.
This is a rolling shell only with no papers. No other parts are included. It rolls and steers. You will need a trailer to get it home.
