Here is a rare original SCHWINN STINGRAY 20" BICYCLE! ( Serial Number) This bike is from the era when most everything was cool! (the HEMICUDA, Mach 1 Mustang, and Camaro Z-28 come to mind!) This bike is in very original condition. In fact, as far as I can tell, every single part of this bike is original. This bike has been in storage since the late 1970s and has not been owned by collectors. Be the first to get this bike back into the light and enjoy it!
*These bikes were TOP OF THE LINE Schwinn bikes back in 1969! Nearly EVERY kid wanted a bike like this! FEW were lucky enough to get one!
bike is loaded with top of the line features! These were styled after
1960s drag racing cars. It is LOADED with top of the line features! It has the real original 5-speed STICK SHIFTER with overload tube, (this style shifter came on 1969 bikes only and is very comfortable to ride) the cool Schwinn
SPRINGER front forks, rear sissy bar SHOCKS, correct ATOM front brake with small Schwinn wheel, correct ORIGINAL SCREEN chrome and yellow "Lemon Peeler" Krate chainguard, wide apehanger
handlebars, original Krate grips, matching accessory brake lever covers, and more. It has the cool MAG spocket, Schwinn bow pedals
and everything that you see. WOW! I dont know where you would find
another like it! It is awesome!
*The bike is a 5-speed STICK
SHIFT! The gears do shift and the brakes are operable. Has a rear hand
controlled caliper brake and a front ATOM drum brake for great stopping
*TO MY KNOWLEDGE this bike is NEARLY 100% original! The seat was restored by Pete at Hyperformance Stingrays in Chandler, Arizona. It has a newer RAISED WHITE LETTER Schwinn Stingray SLICK rear tire and it appears to have newer cables. OTHERWISE, I BELIEVE this bike to be all original from when it was new way back in 1969! WOW! Be sure to check out all pics and be your own judge.
*I LOVE the original KOOL Lemon Yellow paint. It does have chips and scratches but has survived relatively well considering it is a 40+ year old BOYS bicycle! The chrome is shiney but not perfect show quality. If you are a person that appreciates cool unrestored original bikes, you may love this one! Be sure to take a look at all pics and email with any questions regarding condition before you offer.
*I've owned a Schwinn Lemon Peeler for over 10 years in my own collection. I've taken mine to a few car shows and cruise nights at a local drive inn. People LOVE seeing these bikes! I could have sold mine numerous times!!!! You will LOVE riding and enjoying this bike! These bikes are large enough that an adult can easily ride them! They are a BLAST and will only go up in value! Decent original ones do not come up for sale often.
*Now is your chance to own one of the COOLEST bikes EVER MADE! Make someone in your life happy with this one. This is a cool bike that you can enjoy for years! It is money in the bank and will only go UP in value! You RARELY find these bikes anymore! They were all abused and thrown away back in the 1970s-80s. Finding one these days is a big challenge. If you check out , the selection on any 1960s Stingray bikes is very little. They are very cool and people enjoy owning, riding, and displaying them! Most people do not sell these bikes once they have them. Be the first to get this bike back out in the light and have fun with it! I believe this to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted.
*Sorry for the LONG description, these bikes really excite me. This awesome ride starts low with ABSOLUTELY so offer early and don't miss out! This will sell to the high buyer! Sorry, no buy it now is offered. People will ENVY you when you ride by at a car show or on the street with this bike! Sold as is because it is used. The chrome is shiney but would need to be redone for show. Please take a look at all pics for exact condition and email with any questions before you offer. I try to list anything I notice with the bike. Keep in mind this is a vintage bike that has probably not been ridden for a while so it may need minor tuning, bearings greased, polishing, etc, These bikes are getting harder to find and are more popular than ever before! You will enjoy owning, riding, and displaying it for years! People always remember these bikes but seldom see them in person. Your new vintage bike will be shipped partially disassembled in a factory bike box. I take them in to have them packaged so they almost always arrive in the same condition as they left us. You may want to consider insurance, just in case. Once it has shipped, I cannot be responsible for lost or damaged items without insurance.
