Feel free to email me with a reasonable offer.I have for sale a newly rebuilt 1970 402 shortblock BBC engine. It is completely rebuilt. Everything is either new or reconditioned. The block was decked to true the deck surface and there are no numbers on the front pad. This engine is correct for a 1970 Chevelle, Camaro, Nova, or Impala. The engine was hot tanked, cleaned, and magnafluxed. It was bored to .030 over. Here is a list of all the parts:
New TRW forged pistons with moly rings
Reground crankshaft .010/.010
New M77 oil pump
New timing set
New rod bearings
New main bearings
New gaskets
Reconditioned connecting rods
New hydraulic camshaft and lifters
New freeze plugs and oil galley plugs
New cam bearings
New paintThe engine has the specs of the 1970 402 350hp. It will be approximately 10.0-1 compression with 100cc closed chamber heads. The engine will make approximately 425hp as GM always under rated the horsepower by an average of 75-100 horsepower. The sale is for the shortblock only. It will include the shortblock with oil pan, timing cover, and harmonic balancer. The heads are NOT included but are available for another $1000. The heads are late 1969 100cc heads so they are not original to this engine. They are 3931063 heads with dates of E-1-69 and E-5-69. The heads are completely rebuilt with new valves, valve springs, locks, retainers and pushrods. Heads will also include guideplates. The heads have hardened exhaust seats installed for unleaded gas. Very nice set of heads...unfortunately they are not correct dates for this engine. They will be available for an extra $1000 if buyer wants them. This would be great for a restoration of a Chevelle, Nova, Camaro, or Impala. Very nice engine. Ive collected alot of engines over the past 25 years and I am starting to sell them as I dont need them anymore. I will ship at buyers expense. Buyer will setup all shipping arrangements. I will crate the engine for shipping. Thanks for looking and feel free to ask any questions
