Now this is a cool find!!!
Here is a rare original January 1970 SCHWINN "FASTBACK" STINGRAY 20" BICYCLE! (AFSerial Number) This bike is from the era when most everything was cool! (the HEMICUDA, Mach 1 Mustang, and Camaro Z-28 come to mind!) This bike is in very original condition. In fact, as far as I can tell, the majority of the parts on this bike are original. The bike has been in storage for a number of years and has not been owned by collectors. Be the first to get this bike back into the light and enjoy it!
*The bike is in the original and very appealing BRIGHT RED factory painted color. It is the same color as the cool Schwinn APPLE KRATE bikes. You RARELY ever see a Fastback in red! In fact, I dont know if I have ever seen another in this cool color! It has chrome Schwinn rims front and rear. Both front and rear tires hold air. The tires are slightly newer replacement tires. I dont know where you would find another like it! It is awesome! Though it is not flawless, I think the paint is relativley good for a 42+ year old BOYS bicycle! The chrome is shiney but not perfect show quality. I like the tall apehanger handlebars, Schwinn bow pedals, "Mag" sprocket, and more! The bike is an awesome 5-speed STICK SHIFT bike with hand controlled brakes. The gears do shift and the hand brakes are operable. Check out the cool Schwinn STINGRAY seat in red! It looks nice!
*Now is your chance to own one of the COOLEST bikes EVER MADE! Make someone in your life happy with this one. This is a cool bike that you can enjoy for years! It is money in the bank and will only go UP in value! You RARELY find these bikes anymore! They were all abused and thrown away back in the 1970s-80s. Finding one these days is a big challenge. If you check out , the selection on any 1960s Stingray bikes is very little. They are very cool and people enjoy owning, riding, and displaying them! Most people do not sell these bikes once they have them. Be the first to get this bike back out in the light and have fun with it! I believe this to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted.
*PLEASE NOTE The bike has a Shimano SIS derailleur. (newer than the bike) The rear wheel is dented on the side. Both wheels have a wobble when you spin them. It has a fresh chainguard decal. Not trying to nit pick the bike, just like to be honest. OVERALL it is a REALLY COOL hard to find bike!
*Sorry for the LONG description, these bikes really excite me. This awesome ride starts low with ABSOLUTELY so offer early and don't miss out! This will sell to the high buyer! Sorry, no buy it now is offered. People will ENVY you when you ride by at a car show or on the street with this bike! Sold as is because it is used. The chrome is shiney but would need to be redone for show. Please take a look at all pics for exact condition and email with any questions before you offer. I try to list anything I notice with the bike. Keep in mind this is a vintage bike that has probably not been ridden for a while so it may need minor tuning, bearings greased, polishing, etc, These bikes are getting harder to find and are more popular than ever before! You will enjoy owning, riding, and displaying it for years! People always remember these bikes but seldom see them in person. Your new vintage bike will be shipped partially disassembled in a factory bike box. I take them in to have them packaged so they almost always arrive in the same condition as they left us. You may want to consider insurance, just in case. Once it has shipped, I cannot be responsible for lost or damaged items without insurance.
