1970\'s Zeus/Razesa Track Bike
Been in storage/on display but unriddensince 1988. Purchased in New Hampshire from a retiring racer. Mostrecently used as wall hanging in residence until remodel. Wheels areuntensioned and not rideable without service– see below.
Frame/fork: Unmarked – unable toverify.
No serial number that I can find.
Some paint damage on dropouts and side of fork
Gentleman I bought it from told me it was a Razesa produced for Zeus. The lug cutouts seem reasonably in alignment with this claim.
Columbus decal on the downtube.
56cm c-t-c (58cm c-t-t)
56cm top tube, 135mm headtube, 395/420mm chainstay
Wheels: Assembled for display –NOT RIDEABLE WITHOUT SERVICE. Sold as-is.
I bought the rims and had them lacedfor the look. My wheelbuilder (Davidson Cycles, Seattle) did notwant to tension or true the wheels if I did not intend to ride them. They have nearly zero tension and are only true to within ½ inch. All washers are installed and all nipples are from CG. I do not knowwhere an expert builder could get these – they are being sold as-is/fordisplay only. That said – these are unbelievable conversationstarters and striking when lit well.
