This is a very early Gibson Marauder guitar--the line was officially introduced in 1975 but some were shipped in 1974. Part of a very early production run, this instrument has the fancier art-deco type marauder truss rod cover with rosewood fretboard. Has two Bill Lawrence designed humbucking pickups. Condition is VG+/EXC for a 40+ year old guitar. The natural maple body has yellowed (mellowed) with age. Action is perfect and the guitar is light weight and well balanced with great tone in all positions.
The Marauder sports a contoured single cutaway Les Paul-shaped body and a bolt on maple neck with a headstock similar to the Flying V\'s.Having been played by both Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood, the Marauder is a rare and iconic instrument in rock guitar history.
