1976 Schwinn bicentennial varsity with, great patina rides well NO RESERVE:
$60.00

Greetings, here is a 1976 Schwinn bicentennial varsity 10 speed serial # begins with LM.november of 1976. the original paint just about gone, the decals are faded.tires are holding air and in fair condition.i re packed the bottom bracket, headset, and rear hub. changed a tube in the rear rim. put on a new cheapy bell chain.front wheel seemed ok. some newer cables were installed a few years back. freewheel is a bit noisy but ok,pedals are worn but original. nice blue schwinn plate on front and original red bar wrap still present but has a few small tears.bike rides surprisingly well, could use some new brake pads and of course new tires for serious riding.noticed a bit of rust under the rim liner on rear wheel, will throw in a used s-6 rim hoop if you want it ,not perfect but no rust on inner part, wont really add to overall shipping cost.frame is 19.5 inches.tires are 27x1 1/4.both rims are Schwinn stamped as is the spare rim i will throw in. I noticed the front brake cable adjuster is frozen and its not the kind that un bolts so i will throw in a Schwinn adjuster but you will have to change out. this bike could be really nice with a paint job and new decals, ride as is-spray with clear cote or do a complete restoration its up to you.shipped in standard bike box 52\"x8\"x28\" and will be about 45 to 50 lbs, shipped to lower 48 states only. dont worry about damage free shipping ,i have shipped many Schwinns to many happy bike people. frame and fork are straight ,i checked it on several rides .priced to sell. I will pack and take apart bike for shipment at no extra cost,no cost for box ,bubble wrap or packing. I can also work with buyer to reduce shipping cost,by more detailed disassembly to fit into smaller box however this means more work at your end before you can ride this bike. happy offerding
