This listing is for a souvenir program & scorecard magazine for the brand new 1977 SEATTLE MARINERS expansion American League team. This program was for the May 15, 1977 game played at the Mariner\'s new home stadium (the Kingdome) against the visiting Boston Red Sox. Boston won this game 5-4, with Bill Spaceman Lee getting his first win of the year with relief help from Bill Campbell. Rick Jones started for the Mariners, relieved by Tommy Morgan & Diego Segui. Carlton Fisk homered for the Red Sox, and Ruppert Jones homered for the Mariners. The scorecard pages have been marked with handwritten scoring markings throughout all nine innings (see photos #2 & #3 above). The scorebook program has 36 numbered pages and is 8 x 11 inches in size.
This 39 year old scorecard program is still in excellent condition, except for the scoring markings on the two score sheet pages. All four corners of this score card program are still very firm & strong. There are no creases orfolds on any pages, no markings on any pages, other than the two scoring pages. It has been stored untouched in a box in a climatecontrolled room & smoke free environment for all those years.
