Hi guys and gals this is the Schrade USA Limited Edition #1011 Presidential scrimshaw knife set that was offered exclusively through American Express Collectibles and produced by Schrade Cutlery USA in the 1980\'s circa. All knives have the factory edges and have never been used. Also I\'m impressed by the up keep of the knives by the previous collector because I can tell he kept the joints of the knives oiled properly because they still open and shut with snap as they should for the age. The wooden box looks as if the back lid came apart and was glued back together,please see my pic and there is some scuffing on back of box as well. Box does open and shut fine also the lock works properly(although can be tricky at times to apply correct pressure on lid so the latch will grab correctly). There is grease/oil stains on felt underneath the knives and this is due to knives being oiled and then restored back in case. Also this set comes with the signed certificate of authenticity. Please note that I will also include in he sell a copy of the ad booklet that was put out by American Express in the 1980\'s regarding in-depth info on this set and what each scrimshaw stands for.
