1993 ~ 30\" GAHS MAJORETTE DOLL ...Irene Castle Dolls Outfit:

This is a wonderful “30” ~ GARDINER AREA HIGH SCHOOL MAJORETTE DOLL“ ~ Be sure to look at all (5) photos (detail is much nicer than photos show ~ Size: 30” ~ Marks: c EEGEE 10 ~ Source: Google (The Eegee Doll Company was founded in 1917 by Mr. & Mrs. E. Goldberger in Brooklyn, NY USA, the Eegee trademark was first used in 1923. Early dolls were marked E G, Gold Doll Co., E. Goldberger and finally Eegee or Goldberger or (in a a circle) TRADEMARK EEGEE Dolls MADE IN USA. They produced composition, latex, hard plastic and vinyl dolls. ~ This lovely tall doll has a vinyl head with beautiful black, shoulder length hair ~ She has beautiful BLUE open/close eyes with eyelashes, painted eyebrows and lips ~ The doll is jointed at the neck, arms and legs…which are made of molded hard plastic ~ This doll and outfit are 22+ years old and has never been played with ~ I made this Black and Orange Majorette Uniform outfit for this doll in 1993 and it has been on display in my Irene Castle Dolls & Antiques Shop and in Gardiner, Maine and to multiple doll and antique shows throughout the State of Maine…to show the difference sizes of dolls that I made outfits for…Including Majorettes, Cheerleaders, Baby Dolls, Bride Dolls, Vintage outfits for many early dolls and so many more ~ This majorette outfit is ‘one of a kind’ as are all my outfits ~ This particular majorette outfit is close to identical of the ones worn at our local high school and was worn by (5) of my Sisters in the 1970’s ~ Our school was the Gardiner Area High School “TIGERS” and Marching Band ~ The outfit consists of the black and orange one-piece majorette uniform with brass buttons and a matching belt with a brass buckle, the matching hat has orange feathers and white vinyl visor and chin strap, the white vinyl boots over white socks have single attached…one black, one orange kick pom poms on them and she has on white undies ~ I am reasonably sure that many other high schools across the country had this same Black and Orange Majorette Uniform and could relate to this doll and outfit ~ I believe those uniforms are still being used to this day ~ This item weighs 2-pounds before packaging…Not sold with doll stand ~ As usual, my sales are Final ~ Condition: (I would say Good…Never been played with...most everything can be seen in photos) ~*** If you are ever in the State of Maine, come see our Doll and Antiques Shop...See Shop Photo...Just a small portion of what we have for you to look at ***~ Buyer pays S/H/I & Maine pays 5% State Sales Tax ~
