They grow best in hot humidPATIALLY SHADE with moist richsoil. They are impressive in my backyard grown up to 7 feet tall with 2 feet wide leaves because of warm temperature year round here. You can also plant them in potsplaced on water filledtray.

The plants will be placed in a plastic bag with moist soil and papers.

Elephant ear plant (Alocasia odora) often used as an ornamental plant in temperate and tropical gardens. They are georgous plants in my backyard. They are called Rau Bach Ha (Rau Bac Ha)or Rau Doc Mung in Vietnamese.

They grow well in South Florida but require a moist, rich organic compost.They also grow well in a semiwater pond.

They grow well insemi shadeareas but do fine in hot summer months.

They are edible and very popular in southeast asian looking. It must be peeled of the outer skin, then well boiled, stir fried or add in meat soup base.

I usually peel the outer skin of COMPLETELY, then stir fried or add to my fish tamarind soup base. They are very delicious.
