The Traverse frame is double butted with Fuji\'s proprietary A2-SL aluminum frame. Double butting the tubes increases the stiffness used during acceleration and adds overall durability. The frame is outfitted with SR Suntour\'s NEX fork that features a mechanical lockout. A suspension fork can work against you while climbing, so throw the lockout at a moment\'s notice and the fork will firm up for the best translation of power and efficiency.

The Shimano 24-speed Altus and Acera components give you accurate, reliable shifting every time. The EZ Fire shifters are easy to actuate and require little maintenance over their life. The Acera 8-speed rear derailleur adds crispness to every shift, the Shimano triple chainring crankset gives you plenty of gearing to get over any hill, and the double-walled Vera Terra rims will keep you rolling in the right direction. If you are looking for a bike with an easy stand over frame, something you can get on and off of with ease, the Fuji Traverse 1.5 Step Over is the bike to look at. This is the most budget friendly in the Traverse series but Fuji still equipped this bike with what you need to handle most of the terrain you will hit with a hybrid. Even at this price the Traverse 1.5 has a fork suspension and solid Shimano drive-train components.Rating: 4.25/5
