2015 BMC Time Machine TMR01 frameset, size 58 cm:
$3500.00

When wind and frame flex are the enemies you face, the BMC Time Machine TMR01 is your tool. This is an aero road bike, and BMC took the aero technologies they mastered with the TM01 and applied them to a bike designed for drop bars and mass-start racing. They also upped the ante on stiffness. This is the stiffest frameset BMC makes, which means that not only will time trialists and attackers will love it, but so, too will sprinters and crit specialists and big riders. The TMR01 has the same subA concept that time trial specific TM01 has. This means it reduces frontal area while still maintaining the 3:1 aspect ratio that the UCI dictates. So the tubes are narrow and elongated and the wind is tricked into thinking the tubes are longer thanks to the tripwires molded into the leading tube edges. This bike also has the same integrated brake set that is hidden in plain sight on the fork and tucked under the bottom bracket on the chain stays. And BMC integrates the same kind of Position 2 Perform (P2P) seat post, but with the setbacks ranging from zero to 30mm, so triathletes looking for a forward fit and gear mashers looking for a rearward fit, can both be happy. Stiffness is important with this bike. That\'s why there\'s a 1 1/4\" lower headset race as well as a BB86 bottom bracket shell. The former helps resist lateral forces up front while the shell means that BMC could build the frame as wide as possible at the BB to limit the flex that is generated at the crank. Knowing that riders have a tough time choosing between electronic and manual shifting, BMC engineered this frameset to accommodate both. DTI is the concept, and it stands for Dual Transmission Integration. You can see it at the entry ports. And there is a spot for externally attaching a battery, too. Also in the way of nifty thinking from BMC are the head tube bumpers that protect the frame and fork if the two ever collide; you\'ll see them on the sides of the head tube, just above the fork. When going fast on a road bike isn\'t fast enough, The BMC Time Machine TMR01 speeds you up.For geometry, view the last image, in the row numbered 58.
