Authentic repro mid-late period Renaissance RAPIER with matching DAGGER. This was custom made for me almost three years ago for Historical European Martial Arts studies, and cost over $900 at the time. Ended up sticking primarily to later period weapons, so these ended up hanging on the wall for the most part. With less than 30 hours of total practice use,and only a mere fraction of that being opposed, these remain in excellent condition.
RAPIER has a 39 inch long heavy practice blade (more historically accurate than the whippy-flimsy sort) with central fullers on each face. Sword is 45 inches long total from point to pommel.About 2+ inches blade forms the ricasso within the hilt, thus, blade from guard to point measures about 37 inches.
IRON hilt (right hand)is composed of two ring guards swept, with ricasso ring counter guard, opposing curved and lobed quillons (total 8-1/2 inches across). DAGGER HILT made en suite, with both quillons curving outward (5-1/2 inches across; 12 inch blade; 18 inches overall). Both grips are double wire wrapped, complete with Turk\'s Head braidedferrules.
Both weapons are full-tanged, superbly made, meant for heavy practice. You will not find a comparable match for authenticity, handling/balance, and workmanship, at this price.
Everything in excellent condition. Extreme minimal signs of use. Everything tight and solid. Some light patina (will come off in a jiffy under a polishing wheel if need that brand new shine).
Rapier weighs approximately 2.65 pounds.
