If you are interested in growing vegetation, we hope that we can help you out. This lamp puts out light in the critical blue region needed for strong stalks and chutes. It should make sense that plant receiving plenty of diffuse light from the blue sky doesn’t need to grow taller. Instead they should concentrate on bushing out.

This auction is for a new 400 watt conversion bulb. It will make more natural white light on your existing orange light , HPS (High Pressure Sodium) fixture.

Don’t get burned with the so called switchable grow lights. Normal metal halide bulbs and HPS bulbs operate on different voltages (310 volts & 215 volts). Switching an igniter in and out will either fry electrodes and prematurely burn out ballast coils with one lamp, or seriously under drive one of the lamps. This underpowered lamp dims and loses efficiency. (Light output drops faster than wattage reduction.)

Weused to sell a lot of ballasts to a store owner that insisted on using metal halide lamps on HPS ballasts.

However, the metal halide bulb in this auction is specifically designed to operate on an HPS ballast. It will withstand the high voltage kickstart that a sodium fixture delivers.

Please notice that this is not a big honking bulb that is too big to fit in your fixture. Standard 400 watt metal halide bulbs are like small footballs. This bulb is about the same size as a standard 400 watt HPS bulb. Most importantly, the bulb’s arc tube is in the same place. So a reflector optimized for an HPS bulb will work great with this lamp!

• Fedex Ground Home Delivery- Fedex site states this service takes from 4-6 days (dependent on weekends & holidays), in the Continental US. This includes a tracking number. (We use either Fedex or USPS - our choice.)
• USPS Parcel Post - includes delivery confirmation. The USPS website states this takes 2-9 days in the Continental US and up to 11 days for AK/HI - on average. (We only ship AK/HI via USPS services.) (We use either Fedex or USPS - our choice.)
• USPS Priority Mail - includes delivery confirmation and the site states it takes 2 days to most areas with some being 3 days. To be on the safe side, especially during busy seasons, allow up to 4-5 days for this method. (You may upgrade to this service - if available see below.)

International Shipments - (CANADA)

• USPSFirst Class InternationalMail - The USPS site doesn't state a delivery time frame for this method. It is safe to say that you would be able to expect anywhere from 7-21 days minimum. (Only available for packages weighing 4 lbs or less).
• USPS International Priority Mail - The USPS site states that the delivery time on this service is 6-10 days.
• All International Shipments via USPS have no tracking capability.
• For International Shipments - we do combine your purchases to save you money on shipping. See item listing for more details.

Handling Time -

• Our normal turnaround time is 1-2 business days, however, per ebay rules - and due to unforeseen circumstances- such as hidden damage - handling time may be up to 2-3 weeks on this item - depending on demand.
• We don't often have a long turnaround time - as can be seen from our feedback - though it is just good business to let you know it is a possibility, on occasion.
