This is a beautiful 6 piece set of antique millinery tools.
I purchased them in Quebec City, Canada. They were used by nuns in a convent to make silk flowers. They would use a mallet to cut the shape out of linen, silk, cotton & possibly leather, to create an endless fanciful variety of hand made flowers and leaves.
The look hand forged of steel and are quite heavy. They are 5\" long.
One tool has maker marks - Garand. They are from the early 1900\'s.
They make a great display.
