Get ready for E\'s season! With this simple and cheap way to get some useful power on 50mhz.

Thislisting is for a single 50mhz 400 watt RF amplifiermodule for the 6 meter amateur radio band.

This module is already modified and tested with longer Drain inductors for use on 50mhz.

These modules were harvested froma Harris VHF TV Channel 5 transmitter and modified for best performance on50mhz.

These are simple gain block amplifiers and will require a RF low-passfilter and antenna change over relays for use in amateur service.

These modules require +48VDCat up to 13amps, (11-12typical).

A stablebias supply of 12-15 voltsat .1 amps that can be switched off when the module is not transmitting will be required.

A RF max drivesignal of about4-7 watts is required for full 400 watts output. These amps have very good input

SWR. Each module is tested to 400watts at 50.1Mhz for a full minute before shipment.

Theyare capable of 250-300 watts of continuous duty, and 400 watts SSBoperation with adequate cooling.

Eachpallet amplifier uses four Philipps/NXP\"ON4402H\" LDMOS power devices.

There are some other sellers now listing these modules for a reasonable price. That is a good thing

because I am going to run out of modules to sell at some point. Be advised though that the other modules

that are listed are not retuned to 50mhz and will not have the gain or efficiency that these modules have on 6 Theseamplifiersare tuned to operate from 76-82mhz before modification to 50mhz.

If you want a module to use on the 4meter band 70mhz they should work finefor that band also.

I have not tested them on 70mhz because I don\'t have a source to drive them.If

you want to use one on 70mhz let me know when you payand I will ship you a unmodified module.

These are great building blocks for a rugged highpower low costamplifier for 50mhz.

Combine 2 or more modules for higher power levels.
