  • The shipping calculator has been inaccurate for UPS Ground, lately. They have been \"working on it.\" Actual UPS Ground shipping will be between $39 and $89, in the lower 48 States. The west coast is $89. Close to Western PA is $39. Shipping is to the lower 48 States only. I will send invoice with actual UPS Ground shipping at the end of the sale. Please contact me on if you need exact shipping before you offer. Please wait to pay until I have sent the invoice.
  • This is a 1982 Schwinn World Sport, ladies, 10 speed road bike.

  • It was built by Giant, in Taiwan, for Schwinn of Chicago.

  • You can find this bike in the 1982 Schwinn Catalog, available on line. The frame is dated 81, but this model is in the 82 Catalog.

  • The lugged frame is 19\" (48.2cm),Schwinn Xtra-Lite, 1020 carbon steel.

  • The bicycle weighs 33.8 pounds.

  • The wheels are 27 x 1 1/4\" with original Schwinn Traveler gum-wall tires, still in good condition.

  • I cleaned and detailed the bike. I made some minor adjustments.

  • It shifts through all 10 gears The brakes work well. The wheels are just about true. They do not bump the brake pads. The frame and fork are not bent. The bike looks good. It is ready to ride.

  • The Frosty Silver paint has some scratches. There is some rust in the paint. Some of graphics are fading a bit. The chrome is not bad with some bubbling under the chrome on the back rim. There are a few rust spots on the front rim. The bar tape and the saddle have a few nicks.

  • The bike is 100% original.

  • The rear derailleur is a Suntour Honor.

  • The front derailleur is Schwinn Approved.

  • Shifters are Suntour.

  • The brakes are Dia-Compe with relaeases for the brake pads and 2 position levers for sitting upright.

  • The front brake is center pull, the rear is side pull. That is the way some girls frames were done, because of the top bar and cable dropping way below the rear brake caliper.

  • Alloy stem.

  • Schwinn alloy crank set with 170mm arms.

  • Schwinn Approved racing style saddle.

  • Nice set of original Cat Eye reflectors.

  • It is an average vintage Schwinn. The paint and chrome are not the best I have seen, but they are acceptable. It shifts fine. The brakes work. The tires are good. You will be able to ride it without further work.

  • I will charge actual UPS Ground Shipping to your address, with no fees.

  • It will be carefully packed in a bicycle carton. You will have some minor assembly.

  • This bike is being offered in the lower 48 States, only.
