1938 Margaret Tempest LITTLE GREY RABBIT animated MUSIC Jewelry/trinket BOX in very good condition. Front of drawer states Margaret Tempest 1938 below the drawer pull and features leaves on both sides of the pull. Each Leaf states\"Squirrel Rare & Grey Rabbit invite you to their party/Full moon night Bring Your own mugs.\" This statement is tiny written on both leaves. Back of box has 2 paper manufacturers tags . One tag has a large red \"S\" with the item number (B-560), Made in Japan, and , I think it says, MUSIC BOX DANCING.The other tag has a green & white flag and says Kendrick Authorized Seal. Inside of drawerthere isred velvet,on the bottom , for lining. The size of the WOODEN box is 8 1/4\", 5\" wide and 2 3/4\" width. Music box works perfectly and plays as should when the drawer is opened with both music playing and the Rabbit dancing . Dancing Rabbit is 3\" tall, background image rabbits appear to be a father rabbit (?) and a smaller rabbit (child) sitting on the sofa watching the dancing rabbit. Dancing female/ mom rabbit is carrying a basket with EASTER EGGS! I do not know the music tune that is playing, but it is NOT \"Singing in the Rain\", nor \"It\'s a Small World\". I only mention that because other sellers referenced the song as either of those two--and that is not playing on this music box. Paper graphics cover the exterior of the box as shown. Colors are excellent. Item is gently preowned and does have some handling wear, light wear on the box, on the black of the back side of the box, and light wear on the plastic \"window\". It is not perfect, but very , very good . On the screws on theback thereis, on each screw, a pin tip spot of oxidation. It is otherwise clean and with no broken pieces.
