This is a wonderful collection of prints from Colt's Patent Fire Arms Manufacturing Company . The dimensions of the prints are 14" x 11", the actual drawing is 10 7/8" x 7". These would be very nice framed.
My father owned and operated for over 50 years a sporting good shop in Rockford, Ill. The store was closed after his death in 1994. These prints were stored there in the original heavy paper envelope, smoke free environment. They are in good condition however there is a slight discoloration on the front of the envelope itself as seen in the photo.
You can see the digital image that is being sold for $15.00 plus $3.00 for handling from the Connecticut State Library by going to this link. This is a CD that is offered of one print for $15.00 and you can get the real thing if you win this sale. Go to Google and search "A collection of Colt Historical Prints 1836-1873" and you will see that the State of Connecticut has a link where you can order a digital image. I included the link but , in it's wisdom, would not allow it. The prints are: The Texas Paterson .40 Cal. - 1836, Colt Army, Model .44 Cal. - 1860, Colt Navy Model .36 Cal. - 1851, Colt Peacemaker .45 Cal - 1873, Colt Wells Fargo Model .31 Cal. - 1848, Colt Walker Model .44 Cal. - 1847
Buyer pays shipping $6.50. to USA addresses or actual shipping costs outside the USA. .
This may be a great addition to items from Joe Mortenson 1906-1994, collection as he was the prominent gun dealer of Colt and other fine manufacturers in the USA for many years.
He amassed a museum of collectibles.
