What you see pictured is a gorgeous, heavy, intricately detailed, antique silk piano shawl with Chinese figural embroidered designs covering a 1,936 square inch area (44" x 44"). This is bordered by a 4" solid black border. This beautiful work is multi-colored with various shades of blue, orange, lavender, purple, gray, silver, and yellow, I think I've covered all the colors. It has all types of Chinese figures, which you can see in the pictures. There are two corners opposite each otherwith a fan design that inside the fan have a tiger, birds on a tree, what appears to be either a deer or antelope (you decide what you see), what is maybe a waterfall (can't really tell what it is - again you decide from the picture), and flowers. Above each fan design is a large flower. The other two corners have a figural vase with two women on it and flowers coming out the top, a teapot with an elephant on it and handles that appear to possibly be the heads of mice (or kangaroos), birds, flowers, and two 3-legged pots.To the left of the teapot is a 4-tiered pagoda style roof gazebo, and above the pots is a single pagoda style roofed gazebo. Adorned near the center of this shawl are two 4-tiered pagodasheading in the direction of thevase corners. There are different colored bats, birds and flowersthroughout the shawl.Outside of the solid black borderis a 4 inch embroidered border, wheich is then bordered by a 16 inch fringe surrounding the piece. The corners are rounded and the size overall is approximately 91" x 91". This is in exceptionally fine condition, no holes, tears, missing fringes or any other defects that I can see. Don't miss out on this spectacular piece of intricate and delicate craftsmanship. Thanks for looking.
