Aged Titanic Marconi Radio Operators Wreath Cap Hat Badge White Star Line
This is a hand made & aged reproduction badge wreath as worn by the Titanic Radio Operators on its ill fated journey on the 14th of April 1912.It is perfect if you want to make up a replica Titanic Radio operators cap just like the originals!
It is made of gold bullion and aged with a felt background and cotton reverse. It is approximately 75mm wide x 55m tall and 7mm thick. This is not a \'flat\' one dimensional badge like other replicas,we have made this just like one of the originals (there were several versions). Notice the back, most cheap reproductions just have a felt backing, ours is made with a cotton backing like the originals.This badge is also curved as if it has been removed from a cap! Each one is individual in ageing, no two will be the same so you are getting a unique cap insignia!

As the Titanic was sinking,Phillips worked tirelessly to send wireless messages to other ships to enlist their assistance with the rescue of the Titanic\'s passengers and crew.Phillips has borne criticism for having told the radio operator of the Californian, \"Shut up! I am busy, I am working Cape Race!\" when interrupted on-air by his counterpart telling him that his ship was surrounded by ice.Although managing to find an overturned lifeboat to cling to, he perished in the icy Atlantic.
