Akai GX 400D Reel to Reel for parts or repair.
1 There is NO RECORD HEAD.2 The unit fires up fine, the Capstans turn nicely, When engaged, the reels spin and provide back tension.3 All the knobs are there4 The VU meters work and light up.5 It has sat as a project for over 15 years. I have no time for it.6 The cabinet has some dings, and unfortunately a major ouchie on the top ( see pictures ).7 There are 3 missing trim screws on the front.8 Other than that, I believe it is complete.9 No parts have been robbed by me.10 What you see is what you get.
