General offerding & Payment Policy:
If you are a buyer with a response number less than 20 we request immediate payment upon end of sale. If you need extra time to pay please contact us before offerding. All other buyers or buyer are allowed three (3) days to pay for an item. If you need more time please contact us and we will extend the payment period. If you do not pay for an item within the set time it will be re-listed and a case will be opened against you. This is our last resort. We hope to communicate and work with you toward an amicable and rewarding transaction.
General Shipping:
1.Shipping from Alaska can take longer and is generally more expensive. But we\'ve been shipping worldwide for nearly 30 years, andwe promise to do our utmost to get you your product in a timely fashion.
2. In order to keep shipping costs economical, we pack our merchandise as economically as possible to reduce fees. Please be careful opening the item and allow time for the merchandise to decompress before immediate use.
3. In order to reduce costs further, and meet the varying needs of our customers, we leave most decisions to our customers’ discretion. This includes parcel insurance. While we have few issues with theft, rifling, damage or loss, we cannot guarantee against them if a package is uninsured. Though there is an extra fee for insurance, it can also assure protection against all these factors. If you do not select insurance on the final invoice, you choose to bear the liability for the package. We trust our customers to make the right decision for their respective needs.
4. If an express mail option is needed to meet a certain deadline, please contact us and we will work with you to formulate a solution.
International Shipping:
1. In each listing, the price quoted for shipping to your locality is USPS Priority Mail International.
2. Some items are light enough that we can ship via the more economical First Class Parcel. If you are interested in a different shipping method please contact us directly before making your purchase. Though these rates are cheaper, there is no means of tracking. Therefore please be aware that if you choose First Class Mail, we will not offer a shipping guarantee (and cannot be held liable for your item).
3. You may be charged a duty, fee or tax on your item that is imposed and collected by your country or locality. Alaska Furs & Gifts is not responsible to know, calculate or pay for this. All duties are the sole responsibility of the customer.
4. If you are concerned about the duty, please contact our staff before offerding. We will discuss any possible measures to mitigate the fee (within legal parameters). But any measures taken are at the sole discretion of Alaska Furs & Gifts. No guarantee is implied.
Returns:
1. We happily offer a return policy for 14 days following your purchase.
2. Shipping and insurance are nonrefundable. Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.
3. Where Free Shipping and/or Charitable Giving has been included as part of the terms of the sale, Alaska Furs & Gifts reserves the right to charge a 15% restocking fee to cover the costs associated with the sale.
