This American Trader canoe was built in Quebec for the Vermont-based company in 2000. Since then it has been lightly used only in fresh water. In addition, it has been stored indoors throughout its lifetime. (It is currently hanging in our basement!) Check out the rawhide-woven seats and the incredible worksmanship in the cross-hatched ribs. The trim is ash, the hull is a combination of Western red and Eastern white cedar with a coating of epoxy and maintained with Spar varnish. 550lb capacity. 14\'6\" length and 36\" beam. Weighs only 49 pounds! There is a reinforced keel with some brass brightwork. Handles very well. Comes with two adult-sized pfds and paddles. Originally sold for $2920.00 in 2000. The same model, new, in 2016 was $3395.00. Very little wear and is looking for further adventures!
