Antique 1800's Stagecoach Cast Iron Strongbox Safe~NR:
For your consideration an antique 1800's strongbox. Fresh from a local estate. The strongbox is made of heavy iron. It has its original paint and stenciling which has some wear. I could not find a makers mark. The front is marked FIRE PROOF The sides have ornately cast handles. The top lid is hinged. There is a place on the front for a padlock. It measures overall about 13" in width by 9" in depth by 7 1/2" in height. It is pretty heavy and weighs about 50 pounds.
