This is an original 1918 Holton special Revelation trombone made in Chicago.  Holton played with Sousa and made his best instruments in Chicago, judging by the serial number (43586) this was one of the very last ones made in Chicago and represents the very best Holton had to offer.  I don\'t know a thing about playing trombone but can tell this trombone needs work and might be collector part value only because the finish is in poor condition or completely worn away in spots, it has even begun to oxidize green in spots shown in pictures.  The slide moves but not smoothly.  What you see is what you get on this 96 year old survivor.
