Antique 1920\'s Eskimo Model 35brass blade fan, made by the United Electrical Manufacturing Company of Adrian, Michigan, USA. Measures 12\" high, with a 10\" blade span. 110 volts, 60 cycles.
The fan operates and puts out a lot of air, but has a few issues. The shaft tends to pump in and out slightly as the blades spin. It\'s not super noisy, but does make some sound. (I imagine this wouldn\'t be difficult to fix for a person who is mechanically inclined, but that person is not me.) Also, the fan tends to lose power if the angle is adjusted while in operation, so there may be a loose connection somewhere (again, probably an easy fix). I couldn\'t make the oscillator work at all. The fan has been rewired with a modern plastic-coated wire, but otherwise appears to be in decent unrestored condition.
Overall, it\'s a nice little fan. I\'ve never seen another one like it, and can\'t find much info about it on the internet or in my antique fan book, so it could be something rather rare.
