Up for sale is this vintage Monogram LeMans 1/32 road race set, Model number RS3004 4500. This set is complete, it comes with all original paperwork and manuals and is in its original box. Of course I had to have a little fun with it before it leaves here, you will see that I did set up an oval track and tested it out, it works fine , both lanes and controllers work well.
Here are some issues I found with this set. Two of the curved rails are cracked along the rail edge and one has separated from the curve. One piece of straight track is missing one of the tabs , I used it on the test track and it works fine . The white Ford GT works fine on either track ,the red Ferrari does not work due to the fact the brushes are missing. Also the front mounting screw is either loose or broken and the front tilts up , I\'m sure it can be fixed but I will leave that to the new owner. The box itself has separated on two corners, the box is all there and can be fixed if wanted. I wanted to leave this as I found it. The track is in great shape , there is some darker marks here and there on the track, it is not dirt or grease as it will not come off with a damp cloth.
