Stunning Antique Art Nouveau Pendant / Brooch....
Fine, high quality convertable brooch / pendant circa 1900.
This is so in the style and quality of period Libertyjewellery, unfortunately the only part of the stamp recognisable is the 15ct- it is in a triple diamond shaped cartouche though.
There are many Edwardianbrooch/pendants on the market but I have never actually seen one with a \"key\" converter - they are usually reserved for Tiara suites. The little heart shaped latch on the rear unscrews the brooch mount so that it converts to a pendant. It can be worn on a chain (I have a beautiful 15ct chain for sale seperately that perfectly matches and it can be seen in the picture below - it is NOT included in the price of the pendant)or on a velvet ribbon at the neck - choker like or of course, as a brooch.
This is a heavy quality pendant, beautifully made with those whiplash curves so beloved in Art Nouveau jewellery of the time. Set withover 50 fine seed pearls and a small baroque drop pearl drop.
I love the rich colour of the 15ct gold and it is a good size as well as a good weight.
In perfect condition, this is a wonderful piece of quality period jewellery.
Size: 50mm including bail x 35mm
Weight: 8.7
It will come in a reproduction vintage double door quality presentation case which looks fantastic as a gift box too.
