Being offered for your consideration is a unique one-of-a-kind wrought iron footed rushlight. It transcends many styles from Colonial through Mid Century with its primitive yet modernist anthropomorphic appearance. No makers\' marks on this make-do utilitarian hearth piece. Holds 3 rush balls which would have been oil or kitchen grease soaked dried pith of the rush plant once lit providing sufficient task lighting in peasant or Colonial homes. Nice oil soaked patina.
