Rare opportunity to acquire an authentic handcrafted Hopi wood arrow - c.1850-1895.
Sharp horn arrow tip, inserted into a notch and tied with sinew.All original beadwork around the center shaft. Beautifully marked feather goose? and leather attached to silver beadwork as seen.
This piece came from a collection,I found it as shown attached to fabric stretched on its frame.The person who attached the horn tip and the beads used a glue. You can\'t see this area, it\'s on the backside of the beadwork and is approx a 3\" area, just enough to hold the arrow to the cloth. I was able to free the horn butI have not attempted to pull the beadsaway from the fabric. I\'m sure this can be done with care, I just don\'t feel that Iwant to attempt this myself.
