ANTIQUE 1890's DUNHAM COCOANUT DOLLHOUSE
Condition - Fair antique condition. Please look carefully at the photos. Aside from the usual crack down the center of the back, this house has some areas that someone (not me) "repaired" by painting. There are places where the lithographs are missing as well. It is structurally solid and doesn't wobble - a testament to the workmanship of 120 years ago! The amazing lithographs on this house were done by Christian Hacker according to what I have read. It was actually a shipping box for 20 pounds of shredded coconut packages. You could order cardboard furniture from the Dunham Company in exchange for the empty coconut packages. A piece of American history!
Size - 29" tall, 11 3/4" wide, 7 1/4" deep.
Shipping - Since this is a large package, "dimensional weight" rather than acutal weight will be charged. What that means is that the USPS will charge according to 35 pound volume rather than the actual 7-8 pounds it weighs. As a result of this, I have estimated the shipping at $25. If it is less to ship UPS,I will do so.Any shipping in excess of $1 over the actual will be refunded. I will pay for the insurance based on the final offer. You can always pick up your purchase if you are near the Central Florida area.
Note -My home issmoke-free butI do own cats. I am in the process of down-sizing of my ridiculously large collection of dollhouses, large & smal doll furniture, and miscellaneous miniature items.
