ANTIQUE EDWARDIAN HD-KNOTTED SILK FRINGED TRIM FRAG SALVAGES CREAM GREEN 2 PCS:
$9.90

This sale is for a total of two (2) antique early 1900s hand-knotted silk fringe trim fragments salvaged from damaged scarves of the Edwardian era.....they were actually long, rectangular ones;not squares.....these are from my personal collection and have been in my possession for years. They each measure the following:
Cream/off-white measures approximately 12\" across in length
Olive/moss green measures approximately 9.5\" and 15.5\" (this includes useable portion of the entire trim\'s length - it is the middle portion which is damaged....therefore, a total of 25\" x 6\" (top of header to bottom edge of strand).
These were both removed from early 1900s delicate silk scarves which were very damaged.....hopefully, one can use them for restoration projects or just to be used creatively.
The green silk fringe is buttery soft and pure silk.
The cream/off-white fiber content consists of a gossamer fine silk fragment attached to the hand-knotted fringe;it is about 6\"+;this is difficult to measure;it may also consist of silk/rayon fibers and not pure silk;I am unable to perform a burn test.....
