You are offerding on an originalflax/hemp grain sack that is at least 60 years old and possibly over 100 years old. These sacks were hand woven by the farmers wives and families during the long cold European Winters and originate fromall over Europe.They were stored in the homesteads in large old chests until harvest time. Many sacks bear the initials of the farmers. The reason for this was communal grain stores were often used and it made for easy identification of the farmers own grain. We travel all overEurope on a monthly basis and have done so for the last 16 years. We get the opportunity to hand pick these wonderful uniquelinens from time gone by. We are possibly the biggest importer of this fabric into the USA . These sacks have been carefully launderedin a cool cycle and airdried and are of the best value and quality on .
