Antique Rare Federal Secretary Bureau, Ori. Inlaid Federal Decor & Brass Handles

• 1900\'S or earlier 2 parts desk: Top bureau has secret and regular compartments for storage and mail. Secret faux book compartment at each side ofthe middle compartment piece with inside notch to open.
• 2 accordion doors to close the compartments. There is a middle small door that harbors the inlaid Federal emblem for the middle compartment, with a small drawer inside
• The lower part is a desk with three drawers with original Federal brass eagle and swords emblem.
• The original round small knobs are brass and original.
• The top opens up as a desk with red leather that is worn and with antique crackling that gives the piece such character.
• There are inlaid wood accents at the sides and handcrafted decor .
• There are plentiful inlaid all the edges of the piece. Some missing of the inlaid wood at the lower bottom and could be restored easily.
• The foot consist of about 2 inches high hard wood. We believe that the left side is not original but equally display and functions well to hold the whole piece.
• The piece is very functional showing such antique character , functional and of exquisite design. There are expected nics and abrasions.
• Repair as mentioned on the foot or base. There is filler wood at the lower left side.
• For its age the piece is in a great condition surviving a century or more years.It came from an estate in New York , Other high end pieces from the same estate will be listed .
