Up for sale is a great antique circa late 1800\'s Antique FRENCH ART NOUVEAU BRONZE SPELTER STATUE \"L\'HISTOIRE\" Attributed to JULIEN CAUSSE (French, b. 1869-1914). Excellent large size at 21 1/2\" tall x 10\" wide x 9\" wide on round base. Base is slightly off center but appears to be very easily fixed by removing screw on wood bottom and re-centering. Condition is very good with no major defects evident aside from some substance (possibly very old glue) on left arm which may have been evidence of a repair but it certainly does not feel or look like it as its solid and no crack or damage of any kind is evident upon close visual inspection. It may just be some extra spelter varnish or bronze paint that was applied at some point and is not noticeable unless you look closely at the arm. It basically looks great with no defects evident. It is not signed on the outside although it may be signed and have foundry marks inside the bottom base. I did not remove the wood base to look.
