Antique French Bebe bisque head doll, marked 252 dep. on the back of the head. She has redish blonde curly hair, brown glass eyes, pierced ears and open mouth with 4 teeth. The hair is mohair. The head is absolutely excellent. Her body is composition. Her arms are painted wood, with some of the paint worn off. They are jointed at the shoulders, elbows and wrists. Her legs are wood and are jointed at the hips and knees. The left leg string is detached at the knee and needs to be repaired. She is in 13 1/4\" tall. Her has a woven straw hat with cloth flowers. Her dress cotton print with silk band at the hips and lace trim at the top of the bodice and hem of the sleeves. She has a white camosole with lace trim and pantaloons with lace trim. Her socks are knee high woven and her ballet slippers are leatherette and definitely not original. not sure if the dress or undergarments are original.She is one of many, many dolls to be listed from the collection of the late Sandee Porter of central California.
