A BIT OF HISTORY~~In England, Belgium and across Europe, these shelves were originally used as a “kitchen shelf” with copper pots and pans being hung from the hooks. In today’s home or office, decorators are using these statement pieces in ANY room, with collectibles or home décor on the top shelf, perhaps towel storage in a guest bathroom, as a foyer or hall piece with coats and canes hung on the hooks….ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES!!

Measurements:

11”ht. x 36” x 9”;

the back hanging hooks add another 1” to the overall height.

Condition:

The shelf is in good condition for its age, with normal signs of age and use, dings, scratches and other imperfections. These are very old hooks, some of them bent from years of use, which just adds to the character; I didn’t try to straighten them because I didn’t want to break them. Staining on the finish on the top of the shelf. I always provide multiple photos that should be considered as part of the description and I encourage you to email me with any questions you might have prior to offerding. Please keep in mind antique furniture should be purchased for its uniqueness, higher quality material and craftsmanship and antique patina, charm and character….NOT for like-new condition!!!
