Delightful example of an old military medal of honor. very slight evidence of age--some of the greenery has worn away and the letter \"u\" in republique is mostly worn away as is the \"F\" in Francaise. The back of the medal appears to be just fine--all the letters are there. Please see the pictures and know that this is the medal you will receive if you should win the offerding. Good luck. If the ribbon had an original pin it is not there anymore...it now has a safety pin at the top....and if the ribbon was once deep red, it is now a much lighter red...almost pink.
