Civil War Era George Wostenholm IXL Sheffield Spearpoint Bowie Knife. Measures 10\" overall with a 6\" blade. This Bowie is all original with resharpening workto blade edge and the tip. The tip appears a bit rusted on the name side (see photos). There appears to be an \"H\" engraved on the handle and possibly another letter, difficult to read. The scabbord is in OK shape for it\'s age. The silver hub is loose and does detach. The scabbord is also missing the silver tip. The leather is worn and there are some threads missing from the scabbord edge. There is also an \"H\" engraved on the silver hub. There is a crack on the non name side of the handle where the nail connects the 2 sides however it it not loose or separated.
