This is a very charming 1920s German Bisque Boy riding a rabbit candy container. The boy\'s head is bisque hands and legs are carved wood and felt hat and vest with material shirt and pants. It is in excellent condition for it\'s age.I believe that the clothes are original. There is supposed to be a basket on the boys back but only traces of it are left. Other than that ,the boy seems fine.Unfortunately, the rabbit has a few flaws that I just noticed. It is supposed to have a carrot in it\'s mouth and it\'s left front and back legs have been repaired. I tried my best to show the repair but it is a hairline gluing that is difficult to see in photos. I didn\'t do the repair. I purchased it that way and didn\'t realize it until now. The rabbit leans slightly to the right ,probably because of the repair. I Actually, I think that the repair could be \"re-repaired\" to be unnoticeable by a professional.In any case ,this still remains a very nice candy container. The bisque boy doll is a testament to the quality of doll makers of the past.
