This is an antique hand beam drill? as shown. The drill seems to be in really good ccondition, it works properly, smoothly etc. There are a couple of issues however, one is that there was a strip of steel at the top as seen in picture #6 which connected the wood to the steel and also the screws which hold the track down and subsequently hold the steel drill assembly to the wood are a bit loose and this allows the assembly to come off. This is good and bad, good because I can ship the piece easier/cheaper and bad just because you have to put it back but that is very easy, I have had it on and off many times. You just need to put it on and tighten the track down around it. Since this is like it is, I am thinking I will undo the 4 bolts holding the uprights to the base and ship 3 flat narrow pieces rather than a big L shaped piece. Let me know if you have a problem with this or the track issue because I can take care of it and ship it whole but it will be more money than what is listed for shipping. I didnt get pictures of it but there are increments on the track. If this were mine and it wouldnt ruin the value I would disassemble the entire thing, clean and finish it and reassemble it anyway so anything pre disassembled wouldnt be a big deal but maybe those are not your intentions.
