LATE 19TH TO EARLY 20TH C SATSUMA VASE LAMP
Lovely and colorfully decorated antique Japanese Satsuma vase fashioned into a functional oil lamp complete with a round satin to clear decorated ball shade. The vase rests on a gilded bronze ornate 4 footed solid base. The oil burner wich adjustment thumb screw is hallmarked L&B-BREVETES-1878. The original burner font interior has traces of light surface rust with no wear through and has never been molested or electrified. The vase is highly decorated in a customary Satsuma theme exhibiting colorful characters and backgrounds. The satin to clear 8\" ball shade has a continuous vintage design that runs through the middle of the shade 360 degrees.

Age: Late 19th to early 20th C
Condition: Vase an bronze base with little wear, burner is original and looks to be complete and in very good antique condition. The ball shade has expected edge nicks to fitter edge where it rests on burner. The clear chimney is in good antique condition.
Size: The overall height to top of ball shade is approximately 22\", the ball shade is 8\" diameter
