Antique Knife from the mid. 1800\'s seen in many Fur Trade Relic Books and New Sheath , the knife is 14 in. long overall . the stiff blade is 8 1/2 in. long it\'s marked L\'ALPIN COUPE TOUJOURS . ... it has a half tapered tang ... the hardwood handles were held with 4 steel pins ... knife is in good condition has an old honest wear ... the new 12 in. long by 3 1/2 in wide sheath is elk hide and deerskin fringe it has a hand scraped rawhide liner sewn with rawhide lace ... it has deerskin thongs to tie it to your belt or sash ... sheath has been antique with black walnut hulls stain for that old look .... knife and sheath have that old mountain man look fur trade era or Indian Wars era .... a great knife and sheath for your next reenactment or for your old west collection .... any questions just ask and Thanks for lookin ....
