This lovely antique Lone Star quilt appears to have been made and just stored away, there is no sign of use. It appears to be unwashed but is totally clean and odor free. It is from a non-smoking estate. The star was pieced by machine. The beautiful and decorative quilting was done at an average of 6 to 7 stitches per inch counted on one side. Each of the diamond shaped pieces in the quilt has quilting stitches at their edges and that design was continued into the blue areas. The batting is medium weight and soft. The backing was made from matching print feedsack and was turn to the front to form the narrow binding. It is 68 by 82 inches.
