For sale is a box made to house an antique StellaGrand 15 ½” disc playing music box.Stella music boxes were made by Mermod Freres of Switzerland and werehigh quality music boxes. If you have a15 ½” Stella needing a box or a better box this is for you. Thebox measures 27” wide x 21” deep x 13” high on the outside and is 21 ½” wide x13 ¾” front to back x 9 ¼” high on the inside under the lid. From the floor to the top board for attachingthe music box mechanism is 5 7/8”. Whilethe box does have a few dents and dings there are no bad places and there isnothing missing on the outside (metal or decorative wood) of the box. The key and winding crank escutcheons areboth present but there is no key for the box.The decal on the inside of the lid is in great condition as is thefinish on that panel . This box mightclean up good enough or might need refinishing depends on buyerpreference. Please look at the pictures as they are anintegral part of the item’s description and thanks for looking.
