This is a 24 poundNationalFamily Scale. It was recently found inacentralVirginia estate and measures 6\" widex 8-1/4\" deepat the base x8-1/8\" tall to the top of the tray.

Itfeaturesblack paint on the base and tray, double posts supporting the tray, theNational signage on the face, the patent date ofOct 29,1912 on the face, anda worn, but cleanand easily read face. Both long sides under the top tray show the original signage of the LEWIS& BENNETT HARDWARE COMPANY, WILKES-BARRE, PA. This largehardware company was originally founded under another name in the early to mid 19th century. It\'s name was changed to Lewis & Bennett Hardware Co. sometime around 1912. Lewis& Bennett Hardware would have contracted with the National Scale Co to add their name to the scale which was then sold in their store.

This workingscale is clean with a properly working adjustment screw.
