This exceptional doll was part of my mother\'s private doll collection and she resided safely in our smoke free home in a lovely doll cabinet for approx. 50 years. She was purchased as part of a set of twin Schoenhut dolls, one blue-eyed and the other brown-eyed, at the same time. Both dolls were dressed in almost identical clothing when purchased approx. 50 years ago. I am selling the other doll separately.

This doll (and her twin sister) was dressed as twins when purchased in Philadelphia approx. 50 years ago. She has 10 items of clothing.
The clothing pieces are as follows:2 black buckle closure shoes, 2 black cotton socks, 1 cotton under shirt with button back closure, 1 cotton pair of bloomers with button closure, 1 cotton slip with button closure, 1 cotton (long) puff sleeved blouse with button closure, 1 fully lined cotton skirt with snap closure, 1 velvet (or velveteen, not certain) vest with ribbon front closure.
The doll\'s movements are truly excellent for her age. All joints function with a wonderful range of motion and hold whatever pose is given to them. She is able to stand freely without a doll stand. (the movements and ability to hold poses & stand on their own is very different from bisque head, jointed body dolls). Due to her age, she has some minor scratches, scrapes and crazing as shown in the photos.
Regrettably, the shipping price is high due to the need to insure this irreplaceable and exceptional doll. As an alternative to shipment, the doll may be picked up. She weighs approx. 2 lbs.
